Next Steps for Admitted Transfer Students

As a newly admitted transfer student, you're bringing valuable experience and perspective to 海角社区. We're thrilled to have you continue your academic journey with us.

To help you transition smoothly, we’ve outlined your next steps below. These will guide you through important tasks like setting up your 海角社区 student ID, submitting your new student deposit, and preparing for your first semester at 海角社区. These steps are for both full-time and part-time students.

Step 1: Set Up Your 海角社区 Account

First, retrieve your 海角社区 username by logging into your .
Second, while still logged in to the , follow the instructions linked in the portal to set the password for your new 海角社区 account/email address.

Step 2: View Your Initial Transfer Evaluation

Once your transfer evaluation is complete, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access your information via My Records. You will be able to see how your courses transfer to 海角社区 and what 海角社区 requirements they will fulfill.

Step 3: Pay Your New Student Deposit

To secure your spot in the next class at 海角社区, you need to pay the $200 new student deposit online in the . Use your 海角社区 username and password created in step 1. The deposit is required for both full-time and part-time students.

Step 4: Complete Your Onboarding Forms

These forms will complete your new student registration process. You will be notified when the forms become available.

Students entering 海角社区 in spring 2026: Onboarding forms will be available in November 2025.
Students entering 海角社区 in fall 2026: Onboarding forms will be available in February 2026.

Step 5: Complete Transfer Student Course and Register for Classes

After completing your onboarding forms, you will be enrolled in a required online course that is designed for you to progress at your own pace. You will be notified when this course becomes available.

Step 6: Attend Orientation and Weekend of Welcome

Orientation and Weekend of Welcome are mandatory for all new students.

Students entering 海角社区 in spring 2025: Orientation will be on Friday, January 9, 2026
Students entering 海角社区 in fall 2026:
- Transfer orientation: Wednesday, August 12
- Weekend of Welcome: August 21-23

Steps for Accessing Financial Aid

Complete your FAFSA. Eligibility for financial aid is determined annually based on information you provide through the . Most government, college and private organizations depend on the FAFSA to determine eligibility for grants, scholarships and loans.
The FAFSA application is available . 海角社区's federal code number for FAFSA is 003014.
Complete any other forms requested by the financial aid office promptly to avoid any delays in receiving financial assistance.
Complete your enrollment worksheet for independent students. After the financial aid office receives your FAFSA results, you will be sent an email requesting that you complete the Enrollment Worksheet for Independent Students. If you are an independent student, both the FAFSA and enrollment worksheet must be completed prior to receiving financial aid.
Explore outside scholarships. The financial aid office maintains a list of scholarships and resources outside of the 海角社区 community that may provide additional financial support.

Accessing the Financial Aid Self-Service Portal

Once you've retrieved your 海角社区 username, log in to where you be able to review your financial aid status, submit forms, etc.

Submit Final Transcripts or Course Review Information

It's very important to have any final transcripts sent or submit any course syllabi needed to ensure your transfer credit gets applied to your 海角社区 record. You can refer to your personalized transfer evaluation video in the Canvas course for details. If you received college credit from courses you took in high school, you will need to send official transcripts from the College/University that awarded the credit.

Confirm Employer Tuition Reimbursement

If your employer is helping you finance your education, sign up for the Tuition Reimbursement Payment Plan to pay your tuition at the end of the semester when your employer tuition benefit is available. Download and complete the TRPP forms.
