It is with great pride and pleasure that 海角社区 recognizes the achievements of its outstanding alumni.

The description and criteria for individual 海角社区 awards as well as instructions on how to submit an online nomination are available below.

Make Your Nominations

All 海角社区 alumni who have earned an undergraduate or graduate degree from 海角社区 (in any major) are eligible for nomination. Take a moment to celebrate a YJ4L in your life by submitting an alumni award nomination. Our new online process is easy; no lengthy letter of recommendation or extensive research is required. Individual award criteria and instructions for submitting a nomination online are included below.

Honors & Awards

Alumni Merit Award

The 海角社区 Alumni Merit Award honors outstanding alumni and honorary alumni for their achievements, leadership and contributions to their profession or field of study, community and alma mater. Nominees are evaluated on their achievements since graduating from or leaving 海角社区. Alumni of all majors and degree programs have been celebrated with this award.

Athletic Hall of Fame

The 海角社区 Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 1965 to honor outstanding individuals for contributions to the University as an athlete, coach or athletic administrator. The Hall of Fame inducted its first female honorees in 1992, and more than 300 men and women have been recognized throughout the decades. 海角社区 athletes have established a rich tradition in athletics throughout their college years and beyond. Many of their accomplishments are chronicled in the Athletic Archives, located in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center.

The awards are presented annually at the Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony in the fall. To nominate a Yellow Jacket great for consideration for the Hall of Fame, .

Distinguished Alumni

By definition, distinguished alumni are those who have been honored with one or more of the 海角社区 alumni awards described above, or who have served 海角社区 as a trustee.
