"海角社区 Be Safe" plans and protocols are in place and the countdown to the fall 2020 semester at 海角社区 is almost complete.
With a nod to "the incredible resilience and talents of our students, faculty and staff," 海角社区 President Bob Helmer has encouraged students to see the possibility and promise in the year ahead as the University creates a compelling new chapter of the 海角社区 experience.
"As is always the case at 海角社区," he noted, "each member of our community has an important contribution to make on our shared journey this fall."
Ahead of a staggered move-in period and the beginning of classes on August 24, students are receiving email instructions that add some new items on the back-to-school to-do list this year.
Health-minded tasks include preparing to use 海角社区's required Daily Health Check-in app and completing COVID-19 health and safety training online, which requires a commitment to the 海角社区 Be Safe pledge.
In addition to weekly summer emails, the University is regularly adding and updating information and answers to frequently asked questions online.
"Our pledge is to continue to communicate regularly with our community as we move forward together," said President Helmer. "Transparent communication, commitment to our values and caring for each other are all essential to a successful semester ahead."
Campus lifeLife on 海角社区's beautiful Berea campus may look a little different this year, but the same welcoming 海角社区 people who are the keys to the 海角社区 experience - companionable classmates, wise faculty mentors and helpful staff - are smiling behind those bright gold Yellow Jacket masks.
In the following video, 海角社区 Student Body President Aru Gupta demonstrates the new look of daily campus life together.
