Karyn Gentile is a faculty member and allied health professional with expertise in guiding students in the pursuit of graduate programs, especially those pursuing a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) degree. Gentile has coordinated with a variety of premier programs in the establishment of MSAT articulation agreements. She serves as the allied health, sport and wellness department faculty coordinator, overseeing all the major and minor required internships.

Gentile began her tenure at Baldwin Wallace in 1996 and served as director of Baldwin Wallace's accredited athletic training program from 2003 until the sunsetting of the program in 2022. She is passionate about advising students and thrives on helping them achieve their professional and personal goals. Gentile teaches courses primarily within the sports medicine curriculum, including "Principles of Sports Medicine," "Therapeutic Modalities," "First Aid and Emergency Care Techniques" and "Communication and Leadership in Healthcare."

She serves as a co-academic advisor for the Allied Health & Sport student organization (AHSO), a group designed to provide educational and professional opportunities within the sports medicine field. Gentile also serves as a facilitator for ACES, a Board of Certification (BOC) exam preparatory workshop.

She is a member of NATA's ATs Care, a team of individuals that provide emotional support to colleagues after a critical incident. Prior to returning to her alma mater, Gentile served as an assistant athletic trainer at Syracuse University in New York.
